We are a celebration of nature and the warm, inviting spirit of the Shawnee Hills. Our philosophy is simple: Quality. From the moment you walk into our tasting room, sample our wines and pass through our vineyards, our commitment to our customers is excellence!
We offer 2 separate and unique locations where you can enjoy ALL of your favorite Feather Hills' Wine. Our main Tasting Room on US Highyway 51 is open daily while our The Vineyards location (410 Thorn Lane) is open weekends only.
Our Story: Randy & Renee Feather
The tale of Feather Hills Vineyard isn't just about wines; it's about passion, love, and a shared dream.
On a cool spring evening with Walking in Memphis playing over the radio, Randy took Renee on a date that would mark the beginning of their shared journey. With the top of his jeep rolled down and the wind playfully teasing Renee's hair, there was a special bottle of homemade wine in the back seat - a testament to Randy's love for winemaking and, perhaps, a symbol of the joy-filled days ahead.
As the duo traveled through life's many vineyards, they discovered a shared passion for wines that echo the essence of their terroir. And in that love, they realized a dream - to create wines that captured the heart and spirit of Shawnee Hills AVA.
In 2017, with dreams in their eyes and a vision in their hearts, Randy & Renee bought the land where they currently reside. It was a land that whispered tales of rich soils and old vines, a land that beckoned them with its raw beauty. And just like that, in 2018, amidst the rolling landscapes and under the watchful eyes of the Shawnee Hills, Feather Hills was born.

Yes! We love fur babies and they are welcome on the deck or in the all seasons room but we ask that you keep them on leash at all times.
Yes! We have 2 young children ourselves so we want families to feel welcome. We offer a kids menu, fun mocktails, and a kids corner filled with activities to keep the kiddos entertained.
Yes! We do have wi-fi available... and coffee! so if you are looking for a place during the day to catch up on some office work with a good lunch, we're your spot! Then stay around after you finish for some amazing wine!
Unfortunately, because we are a full scale restaurant, we are not permitted to allow in outside food or alcohol. However, our VINEYARDS location at 410 Thorn Lane, Makanda IL 62958 does allow outside food.
